    Re: Candid shots & privacy

    Hi Glen,

I think you may be talking about some other form of photograhy---not "candids". Candids require the subject to be unaware when the shot is taken so they will not pose or prepare for it....

    Re: Candid shots & privacy

    Hi Don,

My favorite lens for candids is the ZD 150mm f2.0 because of its "reach" and dreamy bokeh at f2.0 that puts nearby portions of the scene out of focus. The latter quality helps isolate the...

Re: Scott Kelby advises to overexpose ??

    Hi Luc,

"Overexpose" isn't the best word to use. What he's suggesting is to "expose to the right". To my mind, "overexposure" implies blown highlights while "exposing to the right" does not.

    Re: Candid shots & privacy

    Hi Don,

I'm like you when it comes to candids of strangers who do not expect to have their picture taken---especially if I'm working with a moderate or short focus distance. But this is not...

Re: Tweaking the E-1 for action shots, Ray?

    Hi Craig,

I use the AEL button similarly as Jens:

    Manual Focus (MF) mode
I use the AEL button as an AF (mode 3) button. This is a very powerful feature and turns your camera into an...

Re: Tweaking the E-1 for action shots, Ray?

    Hi Jens,

I hope this isn't entirely true. I hope that having many more AF sensors (especially when they're all cross-type sensors) will enable the camera to do a better job of following erratic...

    Re: Olympus around the Globe

    Hi Cosmo,

Thanks for advocating such an interesting idea. However, we limit our "Technical Discussion" forum to topics that relate to 4/3rds camera gear and the idea in this thread is "off topic"...

Have you actually done what you describe with an Olympus 4/3rds camera? If "yes", then please provide the details (which camera model have you successfully used with your Archos 504?)....

    Re: Plastic Insert for Hotshoe

    Greetings,

I've found the hotshoe cover to be helpful for three reasons. First, it helps keep dust off the hotshoe when I'm forced to work in a very dusty environment. Second, it keeps most...

Sorry, but what you want to do is not yet possible. You cannot connect your camera directly to an external storage device of any kind.

Re: Tweaking the E-1 for action shots, Ray?

    Greetings,

I have a theory as to why some photographers find C-AF more usable than others. In the link in the original post, Rob is photographing a motorcycle race. The motion of the motorcycles...

Re: Preliminary Features of the New E-pro (E-P1)

Thanks bfung for the translation and info.

    Hi Don,

That sounds great! I use my ZD 50mm f2.0 a lot but I only have E-1 bodies to use it with.

I think the answer to your question is fairly obvious. The autofocus system of the E-330 is...
