    Re: Sony!

    Hi Ray,

That sounds dangerously like restriction of trade, and is possible not legal in Australia. It would be interesting if someone wanted to take this to Fair Trading.

    Re: Streaming Video to TV

    Hi Kelly,

Don't you use a laptop? You probably have an RCA video out plug in the back, try plugging that to your AV in the TV. Audio, same deal, but you may need to go from a headphone socket...

I wonder if it will have OIS in it, perhaps the trade for the dust buster in the new Panny camera?

    Re: The cost of lenses.

How about the Sigma 100-300mm f2.8, thats longer than the Oly lens, and somewhat more affordable.

Re: Know any Hong Kong Retailers?

As you live in the US anyway, you really may not be able to save much, but for those who live in Australia, UK, NZ, Canada, Europe etc etc, its definately worth a shot.

Re: Know any Hong Kong Retailers?

As a general rule, stay clear of the camera stores in Tsim Sha Tsui (downtown Kowloon).

Espoecially the ones that have "tax free" signs (there is no tax in HK anyway).

    There are a couple of...

    Re: Photographing Birds

    I agree Jens.

If I stop down to about f/4 (Tamron 300mm f/2.8), I get a lot more keepers, even when taking into account the slower shutter speed, and I almost never use a tripod. While I will...

    Re: Photographing Birds

    Hi Shane,

Whats the min focus distance of your lens? I don't imagine you would be able to get much closer to small birds would you?

You could also pick up a TC I guess, I don't think they...

    Re: Old vs new lenses

    Semantics on
It is a 300mm lens in terms of 4/3's, exactly the same as the DZ 300mm.
    Semantics off

I personally think comparing the 2 lenses above is perfectly valid. Generally when people...

I just happen to have a spare Hoya 82mm filter that is looking for a new home, basically never used. I don't really want much for it. If your interested, let me know.

I have been given a 55mm IR filter, and I was going to give it too my brother who has the 14-45, which obviously has a 58mm front. By using a 3mm step down ring, how much vignetting would there be?...
