    Default Hello All!

    Hello,
My name is Kris and I live in Garden Grove, Ca. I received my E500 w/ 14-45 lens about a month ago. I purchased the 40-150 kit lens shortly there after and have been snapping away ever since. I'm saving up to purchase another lens, but I can't decide if I want a prime lens or macro. The 50mm/f2 could be used as a fast prime lens and macro, but I think the 50mm with a x2 crop would be a little to long for a prime. What I've been wanting ever since it's announcement is the sigma 30mm / 1.4, but who knows when sigma will release it.

    Anyway, here are some photos:

    1/800 f7.1

    1/500 f4.5

    1/100 f5.6 "Sunset Scene" mode

As you can tell, I'm an amateur, but I'm always looking for that one great shot.

    Talk to you all later,
    Kris

    Hi Kris. Welcome!

I love the sunset and that squirrel shot is very expressive. All three show a good compositional sense. Thanks for sharing.

    Default Hey Kris, welcome aboard...

Nice pics by the way! It's always nice for a person to open a new post with some images included in the introduction!

Gosh, I lived in Garden Grove for two years from 1970-1972 when I was in the Marines (stationed at then El Toro). I remember then it was a very crowded area, so I can only imagine that by now there are even more folks packed in per square inch .

Hope to see lots of your posts here.
    Have a wonderful day!

    Kris,

Welcome, and nice shots! I think you'll find this to be a great group of people to discuss Olympus and photography with in general.

Thanks for all of the welcomes everybody. With most photography sites saturated with Canon and Nikon, it was nice happen upon one that's dedicated to the four-thirds system. I look forward to learning from you all.

    Welcome, Kris.

I really like the sunset one, too.

Appreciate what we have, instead of worrying about what we haven't. Enjoy what is, before it isn't.
