Thats cool that you found that link. Peter is a member of the digitalweddingforum.com and we are both members over there. He came up with this some time go and a large number of wedding shooters are using it over things like the Flip-it and the Light Sphere.

Yeah, it has been around awhile, but still a good link for those that don't know about it.

I used one on my Canon flash unit. I need to try it on my FL-50 or make an FL-50 model.

A really good alternative to the LightSphere and others like it. Good to practice and hone your skills too. And it does work better than a 3x5 index card that some people swear by. Price is right....

Yawn.... Maybe it is fast and easy to make but that is compensated by his slooow explanation. I switched off the video before he even got the scissors out... too slow for me.

Is there a picture of it somewhere? ( - So that I don't have to wait until the streaming video comes to the end to see what he is making.)

Take 8.5x11 inch sheet of photo paper, mark in 2" from each side along bottom in portrait orientation, draw line to upper corners, cut along line to make trapezoid. Measure up from bottom (narrow parallel side of trapezoid) 5 to 6", cut across parallel to bottom.

Take flash, tilt flash head so it points straight up, rotate flash head so the narrow side is pointing forward, attach narrow end of trapezoid to flash head with rubber band (with the "back" of the photo paper facing forward, tap reflector down to flash head from the back to fan it out. Voila.

For shooting in total darkness, or if the ceiling is too dark or high to bounce off of, you can use one made from the full size sheet.

You can use special "foam paper" that lets you roll the thing down for more control.

The useful part of video is the demo of the various ways to use the thing.

All in all, way cool, I am going to Michael's to get the foam paper and make me some!
