Default Technical articles on Four Thirds system topics

Tony Spore has kindly let me post a request on FourThirds Photo for anyone who would be interested in writing articles of a technical nature on Four Thirds system topics.

Articles sought are for publication online and will be paid for at agreed rates. Writing experience is not necessarily required, but preferred. Above all, I'm looking for people enthusiastic and technically proficient in particular Four Thirds areas.

Please PM me if you are interested!

    Thanks,

Thank you to all who have responded to the above - you should have received a reply from me by now, if not, please get in touch again.

I'm particularly interested in what you guys here on fourthirdsphoto would like to see covered in professionally written Four Thirds-specific feature articles. All suggestions and ideas will be considered seriously!

I would like to see something about 4/3" sensor technology, especially not really know things like dynamic range.

    - jpg vs. different RAW converters.

    - highlight to 18% grey range and 18% grey to darkness/noise range

    - different ISO settings

    - maybe a testing if there is an realtion between macro contrast on lens and dynamic range in a picture

    - technology background like full well capacity vs overall noise, DB rating and so on (it would be nice if we could get information on the 7,5MP NMOS and the new KAI 10100 ?? which are not available online to my knowledge). Maybe an article what affects fwc and overall sensor noise at the same pixel size (see leica M8 sensor vs. E-1 sensor)...

There are now FFT-CD, NMOS and interline CCD sensors available in 4/3" size and who knows what next Ecamera will have and a comparison would be interesting.

    ---

also interesting could be an article about IR sensitivity of different sensors / cameras.

    ---

I would like to see an article about automatic distortion / vignetting correction of Studio software with varios lenses and settings.

    ---

maybe an article about DOF and diffraction, effective aperture and "förderlishe Blende" (engl. ?) within the 4/3" system would be interesting.
(to others at least, I hope I know the stuff already)

    ---

I would like to see a compariosn of differnet 300/2,8 lenses (Nikon, Pentax, Sigma, ZD, ...) adapted to a 4/3" camera, preferable E-400 or another high resolution camera.

    ---

I'm highly interested in using (ED) referactors / telscopes for nature photography with 4/3" cameras (maybe of limited interest to others, but 4/3" would offer the best way into extreme telephotography for little money). A compariosn to photographic lenses like Bigma, old Nikon etc... 600mm / 800mm MF lenses, mirror lenses would be interesting, too.

    ---

article about the SSWF with some testing of its function

    ---

article about using different focus screens (also rd party) on 4/3 cameras

    ---

article why 4/3 is the best since sliced bread ;-)))

    ---

some "accidently" leaked specs about the E-x. ups.

Just some suggestions, maybe incl. some unrealistic ones :-(

    best regards
