I have received and used the 3G for the last few weeks, and well, I must say at first when I saw it at PMA I was a bit stand offish to the little alien gismo.
It has a lot of buttons, and nobs, and well I was not sure if it was going to communicate back to the mothership my location or not.
However, I met and talked with lensbabies, and the agreed to send out a sample copy in the 43 mount. It really is a unusual tool. Some have argued that you can get a similar result out of PS, and I would definitely think so, but personally, I like the creativity to start on the camera. It makes me feel more like a purist.
Really after shooting with it a bit everyday for the last 2 weeks, I can say that it isn't that hard to use. It is really a pleasure. It really with the push of a couple fingers allows you to easily select where you want to focus, and lock it in, after that, you can do your fine focusing.
My best pictures from it to this point are definitely Macro shots. Flowers do not move quickly. In fact with no wind they don't move at all. On the other hand, my son Cody, he never sits still. when he sees a camera, he heads straight for it. I even tried going up the stairs to slow him down. But I could not manually focus quick enough to keep up.

    Positives:
A Very easy lens to use - Once you figure it out.
Learning curve - not that bad.
    Easy to change aperture rings.
A fun lens to play with.
Creative - Can make some very creative shots.
In the middle the lens is plenty sharp.
It seems to be an excellent Macro lens. (I am thinking flowers, bugs etc)

    Negatives:
the viewfinder of the 43 system is a bit small, and I found it hard to see exactly what was in focus some times.
I can't get moving subjects. (But I am going to still try.)
focal length - this isn't really a true negative, But more a preference - I think I would like it a bit wider.
however they do offer some lens add on's. Which can convert the focal lengths. (I haven't tried them, but that is a option)

I would recommend this lens, for its price. It is very fun to play with.

I have started a gallery with shots from this lens, over the next few weeks I will expand it as I shoot more. It is here.

    A few sample shots:
the closet thing I got to a sharp shot of a moving object but I missed the eyes, and got the shirt instead:

    And a few others:

This shot below reminds me of using the 7-14mm at 7mm and shooting very close up. It has the same effect.

This one below you can clearly see that I misfocused and hit the stairs in the back and was way off from getting the band. bummer - I thought I had the shot.
