Thumbs up Re: ACR 4.1 and DNG are out

Thanks for the heads up. I downloaded it and installed in Photoshop Elements 5.0 running with Vista. It looks good. Tried a few E-300 Raw tests and it performs really well. I like the new look of it too. Just as a test, I tried loading it on CS-2 which is on another system I am migrating from, to see what happens. It of course would not come up with the 4.1 8bi installed. Gave an error saying it was not supported in this version of Photoshop. Works really well with Elements as far as I can tell. Now to get busy and do more trials with raw shots.

Default Re: ACR 4.1 and DNG are out

    Quoth the Adobe site:

"The Camera Raw 4.1 plug-in is not compatible with versions of Photoshop earlier than Photoshop CS3 or versions of Photoshop Elements earlier than Photoshop Elements 4.0 for Macintosh or Photoshop Elements 5.0 for Windows."

CS2 users are stuck with ACR 3.7... I don't see anything other than pure marketing lust to force users to upgrade to CS3 only to support new cameras. I'm still hoping for a serious competitor to Photoshop, so that maybe Adobe will quit its monopolistic, MS-like, practices on the graphic industry.
