    Default Summer time in Europe

Most of Europe will switch to Summer time tonight (that is the night of March 29 to 30). You may want to update the time in your camera(s) by advancing the time by one hour.

The E-4 will have a radio-controlled timer, switch will be automatic

    Cheers!

Maybe by the time the E-4 rolls out the mid/high latitude world will be ready to dispense with that stupid convention. If conserving sunlight and electricity is the objective, moving TV prime time from 7-10PM to 5-8AM would be much more effective.

I leave my cameras on standard time year round, and nor do I change them when traveling. At least that way I can reliably know when a picture was taken, and not wonder exactly when or if I remembered to change the timezone later on. The "correct" local time of the shot can be easily calculated later. If I'm shooting something where time is really important I include a shot of a GPS unit in the sequence.

Cor, I wish I was as clever as you, I don't have a GPS anyway but when I go to Vancouveer Island in July, I doubt very much if I will change the time settings on my camera but think I will do my wrist watch.
