Another link to thank someone for--thanks for that, Johannes. Very interesting marketing, and it points up the way Olympus is trying to draw more women into this traditionally male activity.
Good find, Johannes, thanks. Although actually, there isn't much Japanese on the site, mostly images, so anybody can enjoy just clicking around.
True, Norm, but the categories at the bottom are in English, and it's easy enough to back out if you happen to click on a category that has text.
EPISODES is images only.
EXPRESSIONS is 9 images with Japanese text, but there is a title word in English which sums up the element of expression which the image illustrates (exposure, angle, composition, etc.).
ANSWERS is interviews with three users (an architect, a flower shop owner, and a bakery shop owner), responding to the question "Why a DSLR?" (Japanese text with small images).
STYLE is all images of the camera being used basically as a fashion accessory.
PRESENTS is downloadable wallpaper, screen savers, and "blog parts" (the latter two sections are still under construction)
STUDY is really the only category that wouldn't hold any interest if you don't read Japanese; it's mostly just a list of seminars in Japan, Zuiko Club membership details, etc.
Japanese products were very good before especially on compact things, like Sony Walkman, the smallest size is not much bigger than a cassette, same as the MS Walkman too.
Thats why I am looking for an Olympus XA before and eventually I found a nice used Minox. I also want the Olympus Mju II QD.
