Default Where to buy used gear?

Can anyone recommend a forum or web site that has used 4/3 gear for sale? Not much on here anymore. even less on fredmiranda. KEH doesn't have a great amount. E-Bay is much to expensive usuallyy. People just not letting go of it? Or am I looking in the wrong place?

I believe that more and more, people are holding on to their Oly gear.
There was a spurt of activity when the E-3 was announced but that has waned quite a lot.
You'll see an occasional E-300 for sale. The E-330 has developed a cult following similar to the E-1. There was speculation that there might be many folks selling their 11-22s and 14-54s to finance the 12-60 and that happened for a short period but finding either of these, used, now is an excersize in frustration.
I think that's a testament to the Olympus quality and the fact that Oly users, generally, really like their gear.

You might try posting a want-to-buy in the buy-sell forum. It could prod someone to think about the gear that they have laying around.

Yes, I put one up on FM, I need to pay my dues here so I can post in the B&S.

KEH cameras sell used gear (www.keh.com).

Now, I have not bought anything from them and I have also heard mixed reviews but I am looking at an E330 to purchase and their prices look Okay.

I posted a where to sell used gear not long ago. The choices are limited and I'm now selling what I have on ebay. Have you looked there? Or Craigslist?

E-Bay prices usually approach or exceed new prices, but I do check it often for the occasional deal. I live in a very rural part of the country and there is never much on Craigslist.

And the other poster that mentioned KEH.... They are a great company. I have bought several lenses from them and can assure you that their rating system is very conservative.

B&H occasionally sells used gear. Not much ZD glass, though.

Ebay can be absurdly priced on mainstream gear, though I did get a STF-22 flash with the FP1 adapter for $400 last year. Cameta occasionally has a good price on a refurb'd 35-100. Olympus very rarely puts up refurb'd 7-14's for $1300 on their ebay store - I got the last one they had for sale.

Otherwise for buying/selling 4/3 gear, this site is pretty much it. I'm loving the Panaleica 25 I got from here a few weeks back.

I'll second the conservative rating system based on my purchases from them. The main problem (for me) with KEH is that they're a few minute's drive from where I live, which means that I get hit with 7% sales tax.

Yes, but sales tax on a $1k lens is $70, far more than shipping

I'll keep that in mind for when I come across a used 14–35 f/2.0—it would be well worth the trouble at that point.

    Cheers,

    Andreas
