    Default Monaco

This a a set of three pictures taken on top of the mountain in Monaco before the race a week and a half ago. The place is magical, certainly a great place to visit and take a look at the scenery! I just wanted to share this first picture of my recent European trip. More is to follow!

Nice pano I like the composition though it would be nice to see a little more of the building at the bottom to help emphasize the turn around the bay.

My brother would be so jealous he loves Formula 1 Racing.

    Great Photo,

Nice one Philip - there is loads of detail there. The composition is spot on too - a great use of a pano.

A nice capture. Pity that the weather didn't cooperate a little more with you.

Ah - mon ami, that is a sensational photo of Monte Carlo - fantastique! It turned out to be a rather soggy weekend, too bad that, eh? Nevertheless, this is a wonderful shot.

Lewis Hamilton got his first win at Monaco and Robert Kubica, once again, demonstrates that he is one of the most sought after racers in the F-1 circus.

It's a shame that you didn't get a pit/paddock pass prior to the race. This event proved to be one of the most entertaining races of the 2008 season. And this weekend Canada will be hosting the F-1 Circus in Montreal. I hope you're planning on attending. I would love to see more racing shots from your trusty E-500!

I would love to see that picture if you could dig it out and scan it. I am not in the Navy, but am interested since some of my family are enlisted.
    Cheers, and God bless

A lovely Pano, I personally love the sky and the way the clouds follow the Monaco sky line

Thanks you all for these great comments, hey great place = great photo! I was lucky I could get a clear spot on top of the mountain (the girl did not want to let me go there because it's a place for handicapped people. She eventually let me...). It's a different take on a place where usually pictures are taken when it's sunny outside...

A few pictures from the race are coming. Thanks again for the comments!

    Thumbs up Re: Monaco

    Very nice pano Phillip!
I like the moody feel of the overcast sky.
I was there for a few hours in the summer of 1969, along with Nice and Cannes. (Navy).
