    Default Helios 44M2 58mm

    Helios 58mm 44M2 f2.0
    serial - 83407458
    f range 2 - 16
    focal range .5 - 10 meters - infinity
    8 blades aperture
    M42 mount
    52mm filter

A remarkable lens from Russia, very sharp wide open, of the famous Zeiss inspired design well made and excellent color and contrast. The optics in this lens are amazing, it is simple and it works. It's bokeh and color rendering are brilliant and it's as sharp as a razor. This lens is still of the preset aperture design. I think this is a great lens and it is cheaper than the shipping on ebay. Very similar to the Helios 44m4 58mm f2 that I also have but with 8 blades in the preset aperture and a little more compact.
