Exclamation Interesting thread about focus issues and low battery power

    Just an FYI,

A user of the Panny L10 and the 35-100 F2 has possibly found a relationship between low battery power and focusing problems.

I've known this for a while. I noticed it first with my 70-300, which hunts terribly or refuses to focus indoors as the battery winds down. Drop in a fresh battery and it pops into focus right away.

Yep, My 510 goes plum crazy with the 50-200 when the battery is low

I actually have problems with my 30mm Sigma when the battery drops down on my E-300. Never had any issues with any other lens/body combo that I have. I think it is inherent in all the lenses that as the battery drops so does the performance of the Focus and some lenses just happen to stop focusing before the whole camera stops working.
