Received E-1³ earlier today [Thanks Joe!] and mounted my 11-22 to take it out for a test drive.

nice colors in that shot .

is the sensor in the e-1 the same as the one in the e-500? obviously the pixel density is different, but i have noticed that the color seems to be similar (from sample photos i have seen). anyway, just a curiosity.

congrats on the new addition to the family.

    cheers.

    Jack,
The sunshine is great but 92° F is a bit warm for April.
    Thanks for the comment.

The sensor's similarity is that they're both Kodak CCDs as opposed to the Panasonic's NMOS sensor.
It's said that the Kodak sensors produce more natural colors than the Panasonic sensors but I get pretty good results with my L1s with NMOS 7.5MP sensors.
    Thanks for the comment.

Congrats on the new camera...I love the color it is perfect. I prefer the sensor in my 500 as it seems more vibrant, but my 510 is so new that I really haven't had the opportunity to compare. Hopefully it won't be much different...

You hit a home run with this shot, beautiful sky! It was hot up here today as well, 89 degrees out on the water! We had a breeze though!

    Thanks
