    Default The Morning Glow

When you look out over the landscape and just see the morning glow on the horizon, you know that it's the perfect time of day. The morning animals are all out tending to their days work and always look up in surprise when they see me. Most of the night animals are already bedded down, but occasionally I'll see an owl hunting late or hear his call. I already have my photographic subject selected and am now waiting for the light I can confidently expect as long as the weather conspires to help me. I only have to check my camera settings and wait. I usually carry a cold cereal with some powdered milk mixed in to satisfy any hunger. It's quick, easy and mess free. I just add a little water, stir and eat. This morning I have granola and freeze-dried raspberries. Now it's time to set that aside and capture my first image or I'll miss the light I came for.

A perfect example of why catching the early morning light is the golden rule. It looks cool and crisp . . . and quiet. Nice shot.
