    Talking White Sands, NM

A photo buddy, my father and I took a road trip this past summer around NM and AZ. This was the first stop, and what a treat it was! We were lucky enough to hit the camping day (they switch on and off every other day for arial missile testing near by) and off we went! At first your mind doesn't know what to think expecting it to be cold but its the middle of summer in the desert!? The rest of the gallery can be found HERE

Austin, I visited your website earlier, and am glad to see these images posted here. No. 1 was my favorite with the curves of the dunes leading the eye toward the mountains. No. 4 is a classic dune shot. I would urge others to view them all - the desert is full of surprises and delicate nuances, which you caught very well.

I lived in Mesa/Chandler AZ for 9 years in the '80's and love the desert and I love the way you captured it here in this series. Makes me wish I was there again... for a visit. Very beautiful shots. Thanks for posting.

Thank you everyone for the kind words!
It was truly a sight to see and I suggest anyone that loves cameras/photography to give it a look see. The crazy part is we didn't make it more than 500ft from our camp site, we simply didn't need to. Though if we were there for more than one day that probably would have happened. We did however entice a vette owner to come out for a few snaps.

You did well to get the dunes at sunset and show off the shadows. Nice job.
