I was messing around with taking some self-macro shots of my eye (I was inspired by a blog on Gizmodo.com that showed cool shots of eyeballs).

I really wanted to capture the texture of the iris that's rarely seen. About 100 shots later, these are the only two that came out halfway decent. Man, it's hard to do! Always missing focus and positioning your eye and its relation to the light just right....a fun but tedious experiment.

I used an E-3 with the 50mm/2.0 lens. First pic is natural window light, second pic is with the table lamp. I just wish they were just a wee bit sharper, but overall I had a lot of fun trying.
