    Default (Sold) E-30

I am sadly selling my E-30. This camera is in good cosmetic condition; the only visible issue is a few scuffs on the LCD. (See image 1). For those who have had problems with the E-xxx AF system, this camera is a *HUGE* step up!

Sale includes camera body and extra (Olympus brand) battery, charger, strap, USB cable. Does not include original box.

Asking $650 shipped to Canada / USA if paying via email money transfer or Paypal Gift. If paying normal paypal add $30.

Update: Now includes 4GB CF card (Sandisk) and 1GB xD card

Adding 4GB CF card (Sandisk) and 1GB xD card to package to sweeten the deal. Make an offer on one of my other sales for package discounts!

Very sadly, I am jumping ship :-( The E-5 looks amazing, but I don't have the cash for it (and will not for some time). If they had priced it the same as the D7000 I would probably still be here... the statements that 4/3 will only be pro glass, and lower end bodies will be all 4/3 didn't help things either. I have no problem with EVFs, but so far there have been no mirrorless models which feel right to me. I'm sure that as soon as my last item sells Olympus will announce one... but I can't hold on for ever on rumours.

As far as I am concerned, the biggest advantage of Olympus is their HG glass IMHO (best price / performance ratio between them and CaNikon); however, all of my pro glass which I use for events and portraits is Sigma EX (which I found to be even better price / performance than Zuiko). Given that, it doesn't make sense to limit myself to a body which is behind the competition, when I can make an almost straight-across swap for another brand.

I am currently planning on going with Nikon, with either a used 300s or a 7000, and getting pretty much the same Sigma lenses I have now, just in Nikon mount :-) I am definitely going to miss Oly though... if I had the cash for going dual systems I would do it in a heartbeat, but apparently family has to come before camera gear! ;-)

    Cheers

I sure hope my 9-18mm offer wasn't what tipped you over the edge.

Nah, I has thinking of this for some time... if you hadn't got the 9-18 someone else would have!

Eventually I may pick up a 4/3 for a light travel camera. I still love the 4/3 system, it just unfortunately is not cutting it for the (admittedly few) event gigs I do.
