Post E-5 as a low light camera... not bad at all

Best 43rds so far, perhaps not as good as some FF models, but very good indeed.

Here are some sample shots I did this evening at the photo club meeting, IS1, shutter 1/40 or so, f2 and ISO1600.

Images shot in raw and de-sharpened (default sharpening reduced), treated with lightest Topaz Denoise, resized and slightly sharpened using smart sharpen.

    People were not posing either

    Cheers,
    Marin

Very nice indeed, good color, contrast and sharp as a tack...

    Good job,

I have to agree- it's the first time that I've felt confident shooting ISO 1600 and even unafraid to go higher if must.. of course having an f/2 lens makes a difference as well. I got a load of night photos over the new year, and they were all great concerning noise. The less obtrusive AA filter means that I don't need to sharpen for detail, which used to only exacerbate the horrid noise issues of the past. My only issue was with quick movement of subjects at 1/20 sec.. of course!
All that I share with you is purely my personal perspective based on my own experiences. Feel free to constructively criticize my opinions and my photos, please!
