Sorry, that's what I meant (I was referring to polarisers in general, just automatically wrote CPL...).

    Thanks for the explanation anyway

No, m4/3rd will not take the place of a DSLR for me. I own two Leica Ms but they have their drawbacks as landscape, sports or wildlife cameras. I really don't see all the reason to keep upgrading m4/3rd bodies if you study the DXO marks there has been very little improvement in total IQ. There has been a slight improvement with the noise but dynamic range and color depth is still about the same.
Just as my Leica the m4/3rd cameras serve thier purpose, for me a light weight carry all. But if I am specifically out landscaping or shooting my daughters soccer game I have my E5.
I am holding back right now and putting off getting a SHG lens until I see that Olympus has intentions of continuing their DSLR line. For now I am shooting panos and am going to try the ultra wide adapter for my Nex.
Personally I think if you are depending on a m4/3rd camera to be a do all camera your making a mistake. It is what it is.

I agree with Cosmo. I just ordered an E-P3 from B&H this morning but I don't expect it to replace my E-3/E-5. I plan to use it for times when the smaller size makes sense. I haven't decided on the m4/3 lenses that I would like to purchase yet but I have a full set of SG and HG 4/3 lenses as well as quite a few OM lenses and Minolta MD lenses that I can use with adapters. The additional legacy lenses that can be used on the m4/3 and the 3rd party lens support were some of the reasons I decided to buy an m4/3 body.

If you believe in DXO marks here is a side by side.
