    Default Merry Christmas

This is actually a shot from a year ago, I printed it a couple days ago to get something seasonal up on the walls.

A lot of little tweaks in PP -- the tree was lightened considrably in ACR, and then in PS, I darkened the white window sashes in the left, darkened the brick facade at the top of the shop on the right, darkened and saturated the sky a tad, saturated the curb paintings a tad. (I would prefer to do more of the tweaking in ACR, but I usually use color selection to create masks for the adjustments in PS instead of just painting them in, and that technique does not work in ACR. In this case I painted increased exposure on the tree in ACR because the amount of lightening needed would not have worked will in PS)

That's a pretty sterile Christmas.... great shot and the PP is excellent.

I agree. You did a good job on the PP keeping everything in a visual balance. I think it's interesting that the tree is the only clue in the shot that tells the season. Without it you would guess it's somewhere between September or February by the leaves on the street. But the tree pinpoints it. There's a lot to see in this. I like it.
