I've installed a new thread thumbnails plugin. Let me know if it gives you want you want.

Thanks Craig !
I think it's a major improvement in that it now also displays thumbnails from Photobucket embedded images.
But I'm sure "the boys" aren't going to like the small size, he, he...
Alan > as far as I can tell the posts that don't have a thumbnail are the ones where the image is no longer viewable in the post, for whatever reason ?

LOL
I had to look around to find that you were using the "Insert Image" box![]()
BTW > when I link to an image on Photobucket I just copy and paste the url directly into my post...

Sorry Daniel, I should have been more specific...
The link needs img codes,
Photobucket conveniently provides a variety of links in a pop up box.

So I've added a "hover over" preview which is 200x200.
And there are these options for the type of thumbnails?
The "hoover over" preview seems to be a good compromise if the actual image can't be made larger ?
I don't quite understand the difference between the options for the type of thumbnails ?
What is a youtube thumbnail ?

For me no it does not, since the thumbnails don't show up when I use 'New Posts'. If I explicitly go to say the photo forum, I will see the thumbnails, but I tend to only do 'New Posts'. I believe previously the site would show the thumbnails on the 'New Posts', and I often used it to determine if I wanted to look at photo in more detail, or look at a post, based on the icon of the original poster.
And as I mentioned in another post, can we please have the banner read Four Thirds Forum or some such, and not vBulletin?

Once you know that the hover option works, it's pretty good. I'm happy.
I know you guys are working your tails off trying to put a new engine in the family car, and most of what you are hearing is moaning about the changes. So some of us are old and cranky, but the change will work out. The old site was getting a little ragged, but like a favorite old pair of pajamas, it was comfortable.
Thanks for your work.

I like the hover option, it is clean, not time consuming and serves the purpose....
Keep making improvements I am happier everyday...

yep! The hover thingy is nice, Liking things better.
Next time, a warning shot will definitely be helpful to reduce the negatives.

Not sure if the "thumbnails" need to be site wide, as in, visible in each category.
In all but the Photo section it just displays the users avatar...

So, it's ten days later and now that I'm back to using attachments the thumbnail in the Photo's section for my posts is my avatar, sigh....
To be clear, if I use Photobucket the thumbnail works.
If I upload here using "Manage Attachments" the thumbnail doesn't work, my avatar shows.

Same here, Don. I don't use online storage like Flicker, Photobucket, so upload from the computer using Manage Attachments. I'm getting my avatar where there should be the small image of the photo that is posted. Hope this can be fixed. I see nothing about directions or how to do it. ~Ken
Hi Ken,
I tried a few things and I don't think it is anything "we" have control over.
Perhaps Craig needs professional help (very big grin)
