    Default Problems, Problems

Concerning posting: My average in getting anything to work on this site is less than 1 out of 10 attempts. This is true of replying to threads, posting photos, PMs, everything except just looking. Everything locks up when I press "submit" and the message comes thatr "fourthirdsphoto is not responding." Please check some more to see if anything can be done. I have an HP dual core laptop just a few months old, has worked flawlessly on every other site. Problems began the moment the new site format was insituted. ~Ken

It might help the admin to troubleshoot if you can say what browser you are using and if you've tried it on another browser.

Yes, Ken. I'm afraid I can't help much when the problems only seem to be at your end.

The site was flawlessly for me and it seems for the majority. There is nothing different about your account than any other Super Supporter

    1) Are you able to try from another browser on the same PC?
    2) Are you able to try from another PC?
    3) Are you able to try from another location all together?

With troubleshooting problems such as these it is often just a case of process of elimination to isolate where the problem is first.

Not to be difficult but I did receive the "not responding" once today...

And I'm still occasionally experiencing freezes when editing my posts.

Clicking "save" has no effect and I have to hit "refresh" and try again.

It's not every time but it has prompted me to copy my edits

    Cheers, Don

EDIT > at this time I can't replicate the issue when editing with or without using a spell checker ?

Every web browser will get to "not responding" on occasion, especially if you have 65 third party tool bars installed, plug-ins, add-ons, all that stuff.

I see it every day in my job as network administrator/help desk.

You want a nice fast browser, choose the one you want and never install a toolbar, helper, or anything else. The more you add the slower your browser will get.

I use Chrome with only the AdBlock add-in and I RARELY get a not responding....usually only when I have 12+ tabs open AND Words With Friends (with the wife ) is open.

Low end Dell Latitude laptop too...no hot hardware here.

Yeah. Google Chrome seems to be the way to go now days.

This is how strongly some companies feel about old browsers:

I may have had one or two instances on another site that recently upgraded their VBulletin.

NO issues on any other sites.

Since the upgrade here probably a dozen instances of "not responding" and one just now trying to respond to your post.

    Cheers, Don
