Help please - Cannot access gallery

I have not uploaded any pictures here for a long time so decided to clear out and update my gallery.

When I try to access it I get this message:


(1) Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?

(2) If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I have tried various things in the User CP but so far no success.

Can someone help please?

Saw this yesterday Peter but thought someone would jump in...

AFAIK we don't have "galleries", we have albums or attachments.

Which are you having problems with ?

I thought we did have galleries, although a long time since I used mine. (Before the software change).

I just clicked on the "Gallery" tab on the bar at the top of the page, and got the message in my original post.

I am not sure what language it is written in. I could probably make it out if it were, say, English French or Spanish but it does not make any sense to me...

That is curious Peter,

When I click on "gallery" at the top of the page, that's what I get...

But there are only two albums there.

FYI - I was able to create and upload to a new album.

The images do have the word "moderated" under them and they are not yet visible but it seems to work as it should.

Thanks for trying that for me.

I would have expected access to view a number of galleries and to have the ability to upload ones own images to one or more, but, if I understand you properly, it seems that you can only view your own gallery.

If so, the concept of a gallery being a place where one can view other members images as well as ones own seems not to exist.

I am still no nearer to finding what this message means:

Working through "My Profile" the only use of the word "permissions" appears to be between two categories:

(a) OLD registered users who have the title "Senior Member" (As I have been a member since 2005 I presume this is me)

or:

(b) ImpEx - Editors who have the title "Editor" - if I select this it makes no difference to the problem

AFAIR the "Gallery" is a newish feature here on 4/3's Forum and it has not caught on

Hi Peter J,

I am very sorry for the delay in replying to you. Unfortunately with life and a few other things going on Craig and myself have been unable to give the forum the attention that it needs recently.

Don, you are right. The Gallery is only for Paying members. It was a new introduction with the recent upgrades and is only available to Super Supporters. All members have access to the Albums and can use these to share their photos.

I hope this answers your question and once again apologies for the delay in replying.

I have changed a few settings now and approved your photos
