    Default Nighttime Shots, FL-50R

I was trying to take some pics last night in a park that has been decorated and lit for the holidays, mostly portraits of people with the lights in the background. But when using the '1st Curtain' or '2nd Curtain' settings, the second "pass" of the shutter was extremely slow, which often meant the image of the person I was shooting was blurred. I don't use flash that often, so I have little doubt that there's something very basic here that I've neglected.

Have you tried my suggested flash settings?
    Good shooting,
