Default Swainson's Hawk Nest --Both Adults Nearby (IV)

Got these shots as the adults visited trees near the nest to do guard duty.

Two shots of the female in a big cottonwood tree: E-5, 300/2.8 & 2X tc, ISO 200, F 6.3, 1/500", blind, tripod, cable release, cropped. She stayed long enough for me to fiddle with settings, and it was nice to be able to use ISO 200 on a wildlife pic for a change!

    Male in top of ponderosa pine tree: E-5, 150./2.0 & 2X tc, ISO 800, +0.7EV, F 5.6, 1/2000", hand-held, cropped.

Excellent work, well done. You can count the vanes in the feathers.

Thanks, gents. I forgot to add that I shot these in JPEG. Been experimenting with that, and large super fine is terrific.
