Default Hummer with OMD and 150MM+ EC14

I am really liking the results with the OMD, I learned to turn off AF completely and just focus manually using the 4/3rds lenses, as well as turning off MF assist for flying birds.. they need to updtae firmware so there is a 2x or 3X setting instead of the minimum 5X for MF assist.. I lost every bird in the view finder I tried at 5X, I am lucky to have found 5X, no wonder I thought I couldn't use it at all, as it was set to 14x and didn't even know it was adjustable..
Just hope the next body is a bit bigger and able to focus my longer 4/3rds lenses, cause this OMD sure cant.. not so easy hand holding it with a big lens and manual focusing but it can be done
This is almost a full crop

Your patience paid off in spades. Focus was spot on and good colors.

WOW! And I thought capturing jumping ballet dancers was hard.

    Great shot.

I like the clarity and details! That's what I had to do with my E-1 when shooting hummers. It was too difficult using the AF, so I just did most of it manually, but most times with a flash. That helped a lot.

Appreciate what we have, instead of worrying about what we haven't. Enjoy what is, before it isn't.

No I havent used AF with the long 4/3rds lenses on the OMD for a while now, its impossible.. I know it can be done in manual and even MF assist if the bird is soaring nice and slow, but sure would be nice if it would AF as well as the E5.. I missed A lot of good opportunities, when out with the OMD and come home to a bunch of OOF shots..

Im not happy with the OMD focus even on the 75-300 it misses a lot also, or the buttons, or the EVF, but I am not happy with the E5 iso after using the OMD, and the IS of the OMD is fantastic also.. still not sure why they just couldn't make one more full sized body with the OMD or newer sensor and the OMD type IS, even if it was the exact same body as E5! very awkward manually focusing the big lenses on that little body, and the weight difference really doesn't come into play when the lens weight 10 x that the body does
maybe my OMD is just a bad copy.. gonna send it in before warranty is up, the EVF is bleeding green plasma at the bottom... you wont get that with OVF
