    Default Jordan Crossing

Last August brought one of the year's most scenic sunsets to the Jordan Harbour Marina, located on the south shore of Lake Ontario about ten miles west of Niagara Falls. This five-shot panorama was shot with the 7-14mm zoomed all the way out to 8mm. While these extreme wide-angle panoramas require some serious pulling and warping to properly stitch, if you are patient and put in the required work, the result can be spectacular.

In this example (which by the way covers about a 270 degree FOV), the foreground rock jetty shown here actually runs in a straight line from the shoreline on the left of the photo out past the main light to its end!

    E-5, 7-14mm @ 8mm, ISO800, f/8, 1/8sec, handheld five-shot stitch.

Beautiful pano. Really difficult with a wide-angle lens.
