    Default FS - Zuiko 35-100, F2 OBOO

I am the original owner of this lens and it has spent most of it's life stored in a Think tank case because I simply don't use it. Was hoping for a comet to photograph with it but not to be. Lens is in mint condition. Hood has some minor scuffing, not bad. I have the original box, storage pouch, etc. Price is $1,800 CONUS only but we can talk about Canada. Price includes shipping (signature required) and insurance. Payment by USPS money order or personal check that will have to clear. I can do paypal to verified address but would require the fee to be paid unless done as a gift. PM if interested. Thanks.

$1,650, this lens has spent most of it's life in a camera case. Used not nearly enough.

If you were willing to post to Switzerland, I'd be happy to make an offer.

PM your offer and I'll see if worth checking into. I have had an offer locally (Canada) that I turned down. Thanks for the reply.

FYI - I shipped an E-5 body to Switzerland recently, shipping costs were a little less than twice the cost of shipping from Canada to the US, ~ $70 compared to $40.

But, shipped on 5 December and it hasn't arrived yet...

EDIT > In Canada Posts defense I just tried a track/trace and realize the buyer did not supply me a complete address with postal code and neither I or the mail service person caught it...

    Cheers, Don

    Hi Don and Will,
I shipped from Los Angeles, CA, US to Toronto, Canada in December by USPS with tracking. It took 18 days to reach the person, arriving on December 30th. Maybe it was the weather or the Christmas crush of shipping. Usually it takes 5 to 7 days. I was able to track it to Canada customs. From there it took at least a week.
There is no delivery confirmation to countries outside of the USA, as far as I know. I can track to customs in Canada and probably Switzerland, but beyond that I get no info on delivery. I feel like I can't guarantee delivery outside the US because of that. Any thoughts?

    Hi Dave,

Normal delivery for me to the States/Canada over the years has been 7 - 14 days, the longest being 21 days and the tracking number will give me a confirmation of delivery. I also ask my buyers to send me an email that their packages have arrived safe and in good condition.

Now on my recent post to Switzerland the buyer assures me the address he provided is correct so I have filed a tracking inquiry/claim with Canada Post.

They suggest a 6 - 30 day delivery window and it has passed.

Perhaps they didn't like the look of the black duct tape on the corners of the box

I have another package on it's way to Australia and I will update on both when they arrive.

EDIT > from Saskatoon the Swiss shipment took a week to leave the country from Quebec, the Australian shipment took a week to leave from Vancouver.

In no way has this extra ordinary shipment discouraged me from shipping anywhere....

It would be a major inconvenience for the buyer waiting this long and then not receiving the item but this proves it is a wise investment to fully insure all shipments.

My one and only problem (so far, touch wood) was a shipment to Texas. Delivery confirmation showed somebody accepted it in California

Canada Post paid my claim in a timely manner.

    Cheers, Don

BTW - when I ship to the States, USPS has better tracking than Canada Post up to actual delivery...

    Hi Don,
Thanks for the reply. Maybe Canada Post is better than USPS. I have been told I cannot track a package beyond Canada Customs. I may ask again, and ask about insured shipping. If I can't track an item through to delivery in Canada it leads me to believe I can't ship anything valuable to a buyer there. I will ask again and report back if I get any resolution.
    Dave
P.S. "(so far, touch wood)", is that a furniture maker's intended pun?

I am sure your information is not correct.

If I have a shipment coming to me from the States the tracking number allows me to follow it through either USPS or Canada Post AND if the shipper has paid for signed confirmation I will have to sign for it when it arrives.

If the shipping option used doesn't allow for signature confirmation and the "delivered" notation on the tracking information isn't enough for you there is a USPS option (for an additional charge) for a delivery confirmation receipt that would be mailed back to you.

So basically it boils down to which shipping method you choose to pay for...

This is a test shipment through Canada Post, the first option Includes at no extra cost delivery confirmation and signature required, the second less expensive and slower shipping option is only delivery confirmation.

And this is what a shipment to the States from Canada looks like on the USPS site..

The Canada Post site is down for maintenance right now but it looks essentially the same....

Will > I hope we haven't gotten too carried away on your thread but I would just like to reassure sellers that international shipping Only requires that you copy the sender/receiver addresses onto a form that is attached to the package at a Post Office.

And International buyers should also feel confident with insured Postal Service especially from someone like Will who has a proven track record.

It's sad to see the day come when someone isn't jumping all over a fine lens like this at a steal of a price. I sold mine to fund a daughters wedding and have had to rent several times for client wedding shoots. If Oly hadn't killed off 4/3 I would have jumped all over this but now just can't spend more on a dead system. Good Luck I'm sure some lucky person will come along here and if not they still seem to be moving on Ebay.

I agree Darrell, I'm torn selling it honestly. As stated above I'm the original owner. If it has shot 300 exposures I'd be surprised.

I just gave this lens a good once over again in anticipation of selling to a camera store. There aren't even marks on the metal camera mount surface. I'm not happy Olympus abandoned this market. Get it while it's still here. Let's hear an offer.

Have you considered selling it to the guy in Switzerland? I lived in Germany on the Swiss border for four years, and never had the slightest problem with the mail system in either country. Fast, a bit pricey, and very well-organized.

It is a great lens at a great price, but since I have every HG and nearly every other SHG (except that and the 300 and 90-250 monsters), and am using mFT more and more,
I really can't justify buying yet another FT lens.
