    Cool New ownership

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have taken over the site from Craig and Emily!

The first thing in order is a server move. I believe I have finished moving everything, we now just have to wait until DNS propagates and its accessible for everyone. If anybody is having any issues, please post here or send me a private message, so I can get them resolved.

I'm also going to get rid of all the annoying ads.

I have a lot of plans for this site, feeling excited!

Welcome and best wishes with the forum. The advertising won't be missed by me. You could do an advertising separate section under "Vendors" if they helped you out. That would help with someone looking for gear availability.

Thanks everyone! I hope to roll out some new stuff in the next couple of weeks.

I'm a website programmer by trade, so hopefully I can finally iron out all the bugs.

One niggle, when posting from Firefox, a dialogue box comes up asking if it's ok to navigate from the current page. Not a big issue.

Never mind, it seems to be gone now.

This is good news. I felt that this site have been lost at sea for some time now.

Hopefully we can enjy both 4/3 and µ-4/3 stuff here.

As I offered to craig and emily when they took the site over...I'm a graphic designer by trade, so if you need any help in that department, feel free to drop me a PM if you need a little help with design. I think I still have all the vector artwork (in Illustrator and photoshop) for the header graphics.

Awesome. Please fix the text issue for us IE11 users. It's ben almost impossible to compose anything for months without double keying every second letter.

I am trying to find ways to upgrade the forum software to the latest version. I hope that will also fix any of the bugs associated with IE11, as well as issues with the latest version of PHP this server uses.

What's that? I didn't have any problem composing this reply with IE11.0.9600.17107 and Windows 8.1 on my laptop.

    Hi Godfrey,

I'm from Latvia, and I work as a web programmer for clients and on a couple of websites of my own. Due to the flexibility of my job, I can travel a lot. Photography is a hobby of mine, and I have been an Olympus user since 2007 and a member of fourthirdsphoto.com for over 4 years.

As for my plans for the site, I want to start off by updating everything, as well as removing clutter, unused features, unused forums.

Most paid subscriber features will be available for all registered users. I have removed advertising for registered members. It is left on for guests to encourage people to register. I have added tapatalk access for all registered members. I am in the process of changing Buy & Sell to a free marketplace available for everyone.

When posting on the forums here I have had several of my posts deleted, and I would like to turn around that attitude, to encourage posting, and fair comparison of Four Thirds to other systems.

I would also like to build a camera / lens database with reviews and sample pictures anybody could post on the site, both to make it easier for existing 4/3 and m4/3 users to find new equipment, and also to showcase what these systems are capable of.

I currently have no problems on this site with I.E. 11 on Windows 7. Currently running 11.0.7 which I think is the latest update. The computer is set to run Windows Updates automatically, so it keeps the IE version up to date. Is it possible that there is some other interference on your machine?

After so many issues with IE 10/11 I have returned to 9 (Windows 7).

My issue is when clicking on an attachment in a thread I get a dark screen and no image, sigh..
