I have no idea what the issue is with this site. I no problems posting on any other forum on any web address I have ever visited, except this one.

This forum is almost unusable for me. Running a basic Win 7 Professional 32 bit, and no exotic software. Have tried everything including blowing out every temp/password file in existence at source.

If you ever find out what your issue is Leigh I would love to hear about it.

I have no issues on other VBulletin sites with IE 9, IE 10 is another matter, sigh...

And to be clear, I have no problem posting, just viewing attachments.

I can open them in a new tab but...

I have moved this thread to site Questions & Comments.

Leigh, can you walk me through what is happening when you try to make a post in IE11? Does typing stutter, or is it unresponsive? Are you having issues anywhere else on the site, or is it just typing a post?

Don, I get the same error message, from time to time. I will try to find what is causing it.

Yeah, that one was an easy fix!

I also fixed the error message that was showing up on top of page when entering settings.

Fixed issues with avatar / attachment thumbnail creation.

Went through forum plugins to remove old unused bloat.

    Cleaned up the forums database.

Installed a test site where I tried to upgrade the forum to the latest version. Also removed vBSEO as the creator of that plugin has gone bankrupt and it is a security threat. Rewrote .htaccess rules so all the old links forward to the new ones. These changes will be rolled out tomorrow.

Fixed a bug in newreply.php that vBulletin themselves have simply left in.

I believe upgrading the forum will get rid of the "Are you sure you want to leave this page?" message issue. I am not able to replicate this issue on the test board. We'll see tomorrow!

Congrats! Great to hear we have a "hands on" admin at the helm, and a 4/3-m4/3 user to boot! Very much looking forward to a new and exciting future for this site. From the way things are handling, it looks like you've blown a lot of the dust out already.

As for my plans for the site, I want to start off by updating everything, as well as removing clutter, unused features, unused forums.

Most paid subscriber features will be available for all registered users. I have removed advertising for registered members. It is left on for guests to encourage people to register. I have added tapatalk access for all registered members. I am in the process of changing Buy & Sell to a free marketplace available for everyone.

When posting on the forums here I have had several of my posts deleted, and I would like to turn around that attitude, to encourage posting, and fair comparison of Four Thirds to other systems.

I would also like to build a camera / lens database with reviews and sample pictures anybody could post on the site, both to make it easier for existing 4/3 and m4/3 users to find new equipment, and also to showcase what these systems are capable of.
    Good news indeed.
Apart from ruffled feathers and a little too much hot air from time to time, looking forward to adult debate and exchange of views again!
    All the best,

Glad you are taking the reigns Edmunds. I appreciated the email you sent to remind me of this site, my old favorite haunt which I need to re-visit. I will gladly give another chance as I truly owe much of my acquired knowledge to friends who've generously posted here. Welcome!
All that I share with you is purely my personal perspective based on my own experiences. Feel free to constructively criticize my opinions and my photos, please!

I have only just noticed this thread and am wondering where to post this query.

Whenever I try to visit "Where is This - Part 2", the screen comes up blank. I am using both an iMac and a MacBook Pro and have tried using Safari, Firefox and Google Chrome browsers. All with the same result. - Nothing!

Doesanybody have any idea as to what may be causing this?

I believe I have fixed this. It was due to a memory timeout because you used hybrid viewing mode, and that thread is gigantic. Should be good now.

EDIT: actually, looks like there is no actual real fix as its a vB bug, so I have disabled threaded mode for threads with over 500 posts. Which here means basically that one thread.

Indeed! That has fixed the problem. I can now see that thread. Thanks!

Do you have any idea as to why it affected only me on my Macs? Or was I just the first one to report the problem?

Viewing threads in Hybrid mode is not really popular, I think most people just view them in Linear mode. Also, it was just that one thread, so yeah, I guess you were just the first to report it. Thank you for that, as we probably fixed the problem for quite a few other people too.

There are also some weird errors still left over from when the previous owners screwed up the boards around May 2013, when some people's accounts stopped working. I have now merged two people's accounts. So if anybody notices "weird" things happening with their account - well, there should not be anything weird going on anywhere. So please just report it and I will look into it.
