I would buy it at that price, but I already have one, and do not need to shoot in stereo I paid a lot more for my used one.

It is my understanding that the quality of this lens varies tremendously from copy to copy. Most of the difference seems to lie in sharpness in the 400-500 end of the range. Unfortunately, I do not know how to quantify that characteristic. Is your Bigma a great copy? I have a pretty good one, but would like a better one. The first one I had was not very good, so I sold it and later got a better one. I am off to a whale survey to Antarctica soon, so I want the best I can get.

I would love to see the photo. If you cannot post it here, feel free to email me at ken610@gmail.com. PM does to seem to be working - I am unable after several tries to clear my full inbox. Where are you located?

The original picture is on an another computer not available at this time. It's a shame that so many photos seemed to have fallen off the radar here.....

The 300/2.8 is an incredible lens, here at an amazingly low price!
I have used a 300/2.8 for several years. To see some images, note that almost all my wildlife photos in this forum were taken with such a lens. Superb resolution and bokeh.

Drool...just wish I had $2800 laying around. That's one heckofa deal. I'd ask my wife for permission but I'm not in the mood to be laughed at.

    Good luck selling this gem.
