Display Image Quality On This Site

I have long been unhappy about the slightly awkward process for displaying images on this Forum, but mainly the quality of the result.
Maybe I am doing something wrong, but if so I can't find out what.
I started to display some images from the weekend here, but then went to mu-43 instead. I would have to say (sadly, because I like it here), that the process and resultant display are beyond compare.
Why it is I don't know, but perhaps it is a cost v quality thing?

Hmmm.... don't know the reasons, but I see what you mean. The pictures seem sharper and crisper. More vibrant.
I also agree with you about this forum. The German forum is MUCH more informative and technical (as one would expect), but I LIKE it here!

DPRs quality is even worse!

I went over there and tried to join... told me there was already a member with my email and wouldn't let me ...
just for fun I punched in my usual password and low and behold the existing member was ME

I think I had actually joined long ago to view one of your posts before, and had forgotten, Doh
I see many familiar names there.

I will have to remember your alias over there ;-)
