Default Post Classic Racing + More (Canon)

At Hampton Downs, Auckland, NZ recently.
E-M1 with 40-150mm F2.8. C-AF, except for the last which was using the 75-300mm II.
I used the Oly dot sight for the bikes, and it made capturing a doddle, especially the first image situation which was flying out of a blind corner.
A pity I left my ND filter at home, because the light was so bright I could not slow the shutter speed enough to give some feeling of movement. I could not even see the back screen in the shade. These are around 1/1600sec which is totally unsuitable.
    Anyway, a great day.

I have to say, the E-M1 and 40-150Pro is a fast and very usable action camera most of the time in good light.

    Cheers,
    Don

PS: I went back this Sunday to another meeting, and decided to take the 1DIII, after using the E-M1 exclusively for some time. I have to say it was somewhat easier to use for CAF, and allowed cropping with less loss of IQ. But I imagine that the E-M1 mk2 would at least equal the CAF side of things. I politely asked to access a more suitable spot on the track, and was kindly given a hi-res vest with best wishes, and told to go do it!
The rider in the first pic is a woman. She had a convincing victory!
    Cheers,
    Don
