I prefer the color version, but IMO, the biggest problem here is her hand, especially elbow. Its just waaay too big and quite unflattering.

Thank you for pointing out the obvious. this is why a second set of eyes can be a big help
Which lens did you use, and at what focal length (if a zoom)? Generally, a longer focal length will give a more flattering view.
