I can't believe how little activity in the forum - I just came back to list my 150 F-2 for sale in the For Sale section and noticed hardly any activity...is the forum alive or dead??

Anyway it is priced right and in great condition - also going on Ebay....

Yes, things are petty quiet here nowadays. I look in now and again. Zippski made a rare appearance a while back.
I think most have moved away from 4/3.

I have not checked in quite a while - but seems many have moved on...I am stuck in 4/3 and still happy with my results so no sense changing to another format - especially since I have a ton of good Oly 4/3 glass. The E-5 suits my shooting for now, so I just keep plugging along, just came back to see if there is any interest in the 150, which is still a premier lens.

I've been using my E5 also. Glad you stopped by Wigpro! I do get sad at times knowing that my stellar lenses will never see an upgraded Oly body, the sensors these days are so much more powerful in other manufacturer than what Olympus decided was far enough before leaving us to our niche cameras. I've been tempted to sell my 14-35/2.0 and buy into the µ4/3 bodies but then what would I have to settle for in glass? LOL good luck with your shooting and nice to hear from you again. Back into the shadows.....

I had a brief interlude with an em1 which I bought second hand, but it came a cropper when it got blown off a cliff.
I have to say that it was a lovely camera, and I liked the compactness of it all. To make sense of the m4/3 system though, you need to have the m4/3 lenses, especially with something like the 7-14, and this would have made my 4/3 gear redundant.
I was tempted to go the Sony route, but I can't justify the expense, and to be honest the results I get with the e5 are absolutely fine for my needs.
It would be nice to have a 20mp e7 though .

I'd actually like to buy a good used E-1 again, even if it's for nostalgia's sake. I had more fun with it than logic only can explain. I don't understand the decision that Olympus made to completely kill four thirds, however. And I'm pretty certain the same fate will soon befall that M43 stable of Olympus products.

I have been getting used to m4/3 with an em-5ii and I admit that the dynamic range alone has justified my move from the e-5. The old stellar 4/3 glass is still stellar but does not behave the same; nor is it well balanced. I don’t get why Olympus couldn’t put all that new sensor technology in an e-7 with a nice, big optical viewfinder. I’d buy one in a heartbeat! That said and being unwilling to leave behind some very fine glass, I am currently eyeing an em1ii so that i can fully enjoy the glass again. I hope to acquire a legacy 150 prime one day!

Get the EM1.2. It's great with the old glass. Also get the 150mm F2, it's great with the EM1.2.

I also recommend getting the E-M1 II if you're looking to buy used, if you're looking to buy new - the E-M1 III is coming out soon, probably next month.

If Olympus would have come out with an E-7 it would probably cost just the same as an E-M1 II. The only difference would be OVF vs EVF (and the E-M1 II EVF is very, very good).

I haven't been here for a long time either but I have gone mainly micro 4/3 and sold all my canon and Nikon gear, I didn't use it since it was so big and heavy. I use a 150/f2, 7-14 f4 and a 50-200 zoom with adapters but for the focal lengths I use most I have bought micro 4/3 lenses.
Getting a bright viewfinder through such a small aperture must be expensive/limiting and I have no problem with the electronic one. I sold my E3.

I stopped shooting last 5-6 years...mainly lack of time to ever see what i produced.
been using gx7 since it came out for vacations and e5 for anything that requires professional delivery standard.
that e5 is still fine gear. And i love my 4/3 lenses.

I've been away from 4/3 for quite a while.. Sold tons of stuff (including my 150 f/2. Anyway.. I'm finding that i really enjoyed that little camera and it's great results. So a while back I bought a E M1X, 8mm f/2.8 fisheye, and the 12-40 Pro f2.8. I was smart enough to retain the Summilux 25mm 1.4 and the excellent f1.2 42.5mm Noctron. It's the only camera family i own and I'm really enjoying it.. enough so that B&H has my order for the M1vIII to give the fisheye a permanent home. I love that lens.. and the fact that the fish can be corrected in camera.

I'm looking forward to swapping ideas with the hangers-on here.. Micro four thirds is NOT dead. au contraire!!
